Travel is the thing she can't quit: fifty countries, forty-two states...and counting. Every trip adds another place to the list, and somehow the still-to-visit list only gets longer.
She'd visited the Coastal Carolinas more times than she could count before she ever thought about buying here, drawn back again and again by the same easy, unpretentious stretch of coast. At some point, "again and again" turned into "I want a piece of this for myself," and Barefoot Beach Club is what came of it.

David "D.L." Jennings is a fourteen-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served under Air Force Special Operations Command and deployed eleven times across six locations, including Iraq, Afghanistan, and several countries in Africa. He wrote his debut novel, Gift of the Shaper, while serving overseas on his ninth combat tour, and has since followed it with Days of the Dark and Awaken the Three, the Highglade epic fantasy series.

Misplaced Mutts
A 501(c)3, all-volunteer dog rescue based right here in Carteret County. Every animal lives in a foster home, not a cage, until they find a home of their own. Misplaced Mutts also runs a low-cost spay, neuter, and wellness clinic for the wider community, keeping fees down and animals healthier from the start.
